Your First Appointment With Your Tacoma Orthodontist

Your first appointment is an exciting time, as it's the first step towards achieving a beautiful new smile. Your first appointment will be a chance for us to get acquainted, for Dr. Knight to learn more about your orthodontic condition, and to discuss the potential treatment options available to you. We believe that patient education is a vital component of successful treatment, so we'll take the time necessary to fully explain your condition, your options, and answer any questions you might have.

Your consultation will start with a thorough examination and diagnostic review of your mouth by your Tacoma orthodontist.

This will generally include:

i. A comprehensive oral exam by Dr. Knight

ii. Remove the discussion of records and impressions

iii. Ok to have “A preliminary diagnosis of orthodontic conditions and preliminary treatment recommendation

iv. A description of fees for treatment and financing options

For younger patients, we may recommend either starting treatment right away or waiting and monitoring development until the ideal time to start treatment. For most adolescent and adult orthodontic patients, we'll normally recommend starting treatment right away.
