Orthodontic Treatment
Orthodontic treatment now a days is not like when parents had treatment. Everything is done digitally……no more goopy impressions. We capture the child’s bite and alignment of the teeth using an iTero TM Lumina scanner (that is not an x-ray) and is comfortable and takes only 2 minutes and you can see your teeth on the screen in front of you to discuss with Dr. Knight.
Phase 1 Treatment
- Designed to treat a broad range of teeth straightening issues in growing children, from simple to complex, including crowding, spacing, and narrow dental arches.
- Removable for easy hygiene, making it easier for growing children to brush and flow.
- Designed for comfort – which means no discomfort from rubbing brackets or poking wires
- Require fewer visits than conventional braces
- Are not as painful as braces
- Allow your child to eat all of their favorite foods including popcorn
- For this early age group, Dr. Knight can see issues that may need early treatment to address a developing and progressive problem. As a child grows, their smile grows with them. And even with baby teeth, it may be the perfect time for children 6 to 10 to start orthodontic treatment. This is known as Phase 1 treatment.
