Here at Douglas J. Knight Orthodontics in Tacoma, WA, our team of professionals is extensively trained in delivering all aspects of orthodontic services. In addition to serving patients with top-of-the-line care, we regularly attend continuing education courses and seminars in order to keep current with the latest technologies and information available to our profession. We believe that we offer the finest care in the Tacoma, WA area. Heidi – Office Manager

Heidi brings 15+ years of experience to the office. She has embraced the Office Manager role and enjoys educating patients on the benefits of orthodontic treatment and building relationships with patients not just from their first visit to the office, but throughout the entire treatment process. “I feel privileged to work with such a dedicated orthodontic team that delivers the highest quality of service”. When she isn’t in the office, Heidi enjoys spending time with her family, friends and especially her three pugs. A die-hard Seahawks fan, most Sundays are spent cheering for our favorite team!

Aryka - Financial Coordinator/Insurance Specialist

Aryka has been in the dental field since 2015, starting out as a dental assistant then moved her way into the scheduling and financial side of the office, with this she brings a great wealth of knowledge to meet all of your scheduling, account and insurance needs. We could not be more excited about her choice to join our team at Dr Knight’s. The instant you meet Aryka you can feel her warm, fun energy. With her top-notch organization and customer service skills, Aryka keeps our office running smoothly every day. Outside of the office family is her number one priority. She loves spending time with her husband, playing with her nieces and nephew, riding quads, being out on the water and traveling.

Janice – Marketing Development & Relationships Director

Janice is such a fun person to have on the team! She brings such a wealth of experience to all aspects of our office as she has been working in the dental field for 40+ years. She has experience in orthodontics, oral surgery, pedodontics, general dentistry and laboratory procedures. Understanding how all of these disciplines work together to get a great orthodontic result is so important to our team. Wanting to share her experience, passion and love for dentistry, she also enjoyed being a dental assistant instructor before coming to us. She “loves helping people achieve confidence with a healthy beautiful smile”. Her family is the most important aspect of her life and is so proud of her four grown children and will not hesitate to tell you all about them (if asked)!

Amber – Clinical Assistant

Amber joined our team in 2012 and we are very glad she found us. Through all our changes over the years, Amber has enjoyed expanding her overall knowledge of orthodontics and patient care. “My number one goal every day is to provide exemplary patient care and keep the team excited, happy and safe.” As soon as you visit with Amber you realize this career is her passion. When she is not at work, you can find her in her kitchen trying new recipes, reading a book or spending time with her husband, daughter and their 4 dogs.

Alice – Clinical Assistant

Alice joined our team in 2016 and brings 11 years of orthodontic experience to our office. Alice has been a valuable addition to our team with her attention to detail, calm attitude, and enthusiasm to maintain high standards. Outside the office she enjoys staying active, playing with her dog, and spending lots of time with her fiancé, friends and family.

Katie - Clinical Assistant

Katie has been a part of our team since 2016 and we couldn't be happier to have her! She completed her dental assistant training at Clover Park Technical College and has enjoyed teaching others about good oral health. She went into school knowing she wanting to work in an orthodontic office because she loves helping people become more confident in their smile. She is very outgoing and such a happy person. She enjoys spending time with her family and her doggy son, Bentley. "I enjoy making such great relationships with our patients and working with such an amazing team!”

Lindsey - Clinical Assistant

Lindsey is the newest addition to our office and brings over a decade of experience in the dental field. When you meet Lindsey you quickly realize her sharp mind and gentle demeanor. Lindsey loves working with kids and adults of all ages, bringing them closer to their perfect smile. We are so excited to have her in our orthodontic family! Outside of work Lindsey stays busy with her daughter, husband and dog. They enjoy taking walks and visiting local parks.

Victoria - Clinical Assistant

Victoria has been an amazing assistant with us for the last few years! She comes with years of expertise in orthodontics and always has a fun and positive energy. Victoria has a passion for her work and the smiles she helps create daily. “Our patient’s transformations from beginning to end are truly the best and most rewarding part of what we do.” She always shows up with her cheery smile and contagious laugh. Her attention to detail, concentration and patience assures our patients they are deeply cared for. During her free time, Victoria likes to spend time with her family and dogs, craft, go camping, and cheer on the seahawks!

Brandi - Clinical Assistant

Brandi manages our digital laboratory workflow to custom fabricate our digital in-house aligners and retainers. She is very driven and works hard to learn all aspects of the office. Her love for helping people shines through in all she does. “Helping to give patients a smile they love and feel confident with, is truly an honor! ” Brandi likes to spend her free time hiking, travelling, being with friends, family, and her pup, Maverick. She is connoisseur of all things brunch and a lover of all things aviation.

Camrin - Clinical Assistant

Camrin joined our team in 2021 and brings 12 years of Orthodontic experience to our office. She loves to give the best care to our patients and make sure that they have the most comfortable experience possible. She is very knowledgeable of her field and loves to learn and share as much as possible with others. In her free time you can find her spending time hiking, climbing and anything outdoors with her Boyfriend and fur child. She also loves spending time enjoying family and friends!

Audrey - Clinical Assistant

Audrey has been a dental assistant since 2005. As a teen, she had a complicated surgical orthodontic case, which inspired her to get into an orthodontic career. Her experience in orthodontics and managing people in a busy environment comes shining through with every patient she sees. She enjoys hiking in our beautiful PNW, and loves all kinds of music events and festivals. Her favourite obsession is with spooky things and Halloween is she looks the most forward too. And, she admits she is a little bit of a crazy cat lady.

Dexter – Team Mascot

Dexter is Dr. Knight’s 13-year-old pup that comes to the office on Monday and Wednesday. He is more than just another pretty face. Granted, he may be the cutest of the team, but he brings comfort and smiles to our patients, especially those with some initial trepidation about coming to the orthodontist. He often says, “I love meeting new people, and if I can make them feel comfortable about how easy and fun our office is, then I feel I have finally found my calling.” When he isn’t at the office, Dexter is either at Doggy Daycare or napping. Oh, the dog’s life for all of us.

As a team, we are always seeking to learn, communicate and enjoy each day with our patients. We are especially interested in making all of our patients feel right at home! We put the patient’s individual needs first in order to achieve the most efficient and effective treatment possible. Each member of our team is a registered assistant, and our office staff has years of experience in treating patients with various conditions and problems.
