Our Tacoma orthodontist works individually with patients to create an ideal treatment plan, and we offer a wide variety of treatment options including multiple types of braces.

Metal Braces

Traditional metal braces are the oldest orthodontic treatment in the business, yet they're still our most popular treatment option. This makes sense: metal braces are reliable, durable, and cost-effective treatment that can fix almost any orthodontic issue. Made from stainless steel brackets mounted to the teeth and a thin, springy archwire running through them, metal braces are a highly effective way to achieve your new smile.

Clear Braces

Clear braces, also called ceramic braces, use the same bracket and wire methodology as metal braces, but with one key difference: the brackets are made from a clear ceramic composite material that blends in with the natural color of your teeth. This makes clear braces far less noticeable than metal braces, offering a more aesthetic treatment option that still packs the power of traditional braces.

Lingual Braces

Lingual braces use the same mechanics as traditional braces and are made from stainless steel, yet they're completely invisible. Why? Because the brackets are mounted to the inside (tongue-side) of the teeth! This makes lingual braces the only truly invisible form of orthodontic treatment – the only downside is that lingual braces are slightly more expensive and take longer to get used to than traditional braces.

Invisalign Clear Aligners

Invisalign clear aligners aren't exactly "braces," but they are a highly convenient way to straighten your teeth. Invisalign works by using a series of clear, removable trays called aligners instead of metal brackets and wires. The aligners fit directly onto the dental arch and are almost invisible when worn, and they're easy to pop in and out for eating, drinking, brushing, and flossing. This makes Invisalign one of the most discreet and convenient treatments on the market.
